| Image Title: Newspaper Rock State Historic Monument, Route 211, Southern Utah May 2008 Photographer's Notes: On a spring trip to Canyonlands National Park, a pullout on the side of route 211, took me back about 2,000 years. The petroglyphs that cover a 200 square foot section of varnished cliff wall has been carved by several ancient cultures. Precise dating of the rock carvings remains a mystery...
