the winter months in Yellowstone National Park. Not too many studies have been done with fox in the northern Rocky Mountains... They seem to adapt well to this environment. In the late 1920's, wolves were missing from this landscape and pressure was put on the fox by its larger cousin, the coyote. Now that wolves have been restored to the land, coyote numbers have declined somewhat and there may now be some hope for the red fox. This image is currently available in multiple sizes.
