Photographer's Notes:
    The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is one of the
    few locations in the park that is truly awe-inspiring at
    any time of day or month of the year.  

    I always look for natural designs in the canyon walls.
    During the winter season snow builds up, covering
    the colorful rhyolite rock walls with wind sculpted
    wonders!  This natural snow wave formed in the
    winter of 2008 on the North Rim near Lookout
    Point.
