Wilderness, we came across these two small birds nestled tight together on a warm bit of granite rock. The father was near by, which is usual for Rock Sandpipers with young, but was trying hard to keep our attention away from his chicks. We did not even see these two until they were literally, almost under our feet! They were very small and blended in with their surroundings. This image is currently available in multiple sizes.
